How To Safely Ship Your Originals To Us
- Package your originals properly.
For Pictures, including paintings: Remove them from frames. Especially, do not send them with glass. Place them between two sheets of thick cardboard that are at least 2″ larger than the pictures and tape the cardboards together. Put that in a plastic bag and seal it – a plastic trash bag will do nicely. Then, put it in a box (available at UPS and Fed-Ex if you don’t have one.).
For Film, video tapes, slides, flash drives, etc.:Place them in Zip-Lock plastic bags and then into a sturdy shipping box. Pack any extra area in the box with wadded-up paper or other padding. - Put a note in the box with your name, phone number and email address. VERY IMPORTANT!
- NEVER SHIP BY U.S. Mail! – unfortunately, the Mail has not proven to be reliable. Instead, use UPS or Fed-Ex so that it is tracked every step of the way.
